Sterling Webber III was born December 16, 1957, in Columbus, Mississippi. He was the third of four children born to Sterling Webber Jr. and Julia Ella Webber of Columbus, both deceased. Sterling confessed belief in Christ at the age of 10 and became a baptized member of Friendship M.B. Church. As a youth, he enjoyed Sunday School and youth programs. Sterling was a 1975 Caldwell High School graduate. He entered into the Air Force after graduation and served four years. Shortly following, he lived in Sacramento and Francisco, California as a licensed electrician. As a disable veteran, he moved to Huntsville, AL. Recently, he moved back home to Columbus where he enjoyed barbecuing, cooking, and gardening, and fishing. He leaves to cherish his memory, two children -- Stephanie Kravetz Webber of Oakland, CA and Sterling Hezekiah Webber of Huntsville, AL. Other family includes brothers, Rev. Charles Webber of Lawton, OK, Floyd Glen Webber of Columbus and Lawrence (Lashawn) Brow n of Helena, AL. His sisters are Joyce Webber Clemmons (Johnny) of Columbus, Daphne Brown James (Johnathan) of Caledonia, MS and Kanesha Brown Mccollum of Montgomery, AL. Extended family includes aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, first, second, and third generation cousins and abundance of close family friends.
